Today the former military parade and fairground is used as bus parking lot with ten places. Visitors arrive and depart in close proximity to the pedestrian area. The old town and the Freiburg Minster are just a few minutes walk away.
The "Karlsbau" accomodates a parking garage, several shops and restaurants as well as an hotel.
