General information

If you love the look of beautiful old Black Forest farmhouses, you really should plan a detour to the Bantlehof in Wittelbach. With its abundant flower displays from spring to autumn, it is the most photographed building in the Schutter Valley.

The history of the Bantlehof can be traced back to the second half of the 18th century. The first known owner of the farmhouse was Martin Eble who died in 1797. Today’s owners, Gisela and Siegbert Himmelsbach, bought the dilapidated Bantlehof in 1985 and lovingly restored it.
