Seelbach
Sights
Have you ever wanted to ring the chapel bells? If so, we recommend a visit to the Konradskapelle where you’re welcome to do this. The chapel enjoys a raised, picturesque location on the edge of the woods and offers wonderful views of Seelbach and the ruins of the Hohengeroldseck and Lützelhardt castles. Dedicated to Saint Conrad of Parzham, the chapel was privately financed and built on the property of Josef and Rosa Schuhmacher. It was consecrated on 11 July 1937. Many votive tablets on the inside with notes of thanks for the monk’s various acts of support bear testimony to the deep faith in this community. A remembrance service for Brother Konrad takes place in the chapel every year.
