GeoTours for Explorers
Hands-On Geology
There are many ways to experience and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Black Forest. But if you want to understand it, it’s worth scratching just beneath the surface, because the geological formations that have developed over millions of years shape the landscape, influence the presence of animal and plant species, and, not least, impact people and their history.
The GeoTours in the nature park take you on an entertaining journey through the geological history of the Northern and Central Black Forest. On 14 GeoTours in the Northern Black Forest and eight GeoTours in the Central Black Forest, young and old alike can explore the region’s geological features. Phenomena along the way that are otherwise all too easily overlooked are discovered and explored.
