Bach in Leipzig
Johann Sebastian Bach spent the last 27 years of his life in Leipzig. He wrote numerous musical works there between 1723 and 1750. The Bach Museum reveals more about this period. In addition to instruments, personal items belonging to the composer are also on display here. St Thomas' Church is home to a famous Bach organ and a bronze plaque commemorates his final resting place.
