Bad Elster has made a name for itself not only as a spa town, but also as a cultural and festival town. Internationally renowned orchestras perform in the King Albert Theatre, which opened in 1914. The NaturTheater, Saxony's first open-air theatre of its kind, can accommodate even more guests. The history of the town is presented in the Saxon Spa Museum, while art exhibitions await in the Royal Spa House.
