Baumschulgebiet Kreis Pinneberg

The Pinneberg district tree nursery area in south-west Schleswig-Holstein was established several hundred years ago. The cultural landscape has been preserved to this day with almost 300 tree nurseries on 4,200 hectares and is not only one of the most important tree nursery areas in Germany, but also the largest contiguous area in the world. Thanks to the northern German climate, the wood from the region thrives particularly well and is valued worldwide.
