Bergbau-Technik Park

Covering more than five hectares, the Mining Technology Park shows how lignite was once mined in Leipzig's Neuseenland region. Two large pieces of equipment stand out in particular: a spreader that weighs 2,400 tonnes and a gigantic bucket wheel excavator. 23 information boards scattered throughout the park illuminate the entire conveyor cycle. Visitors can also learn more about the renaturalisation of the Neuseenland.
