Bischof-Benno-Haus Schlosspark Schmochtitz
A manor house once stood in the centre of the baroque castle park in Schmochtitz, which was rebuilt as the Bishop Benno House in 1990. In memory of the clergyman from Meissen, it still serves as an educational and conference centre today. An ensemble of fountains, hedges and artistic sculptures awaits visitors in a row. The latter also include the Sphinx statue, which commemorates Napoleon's Battle of the Pyramids.
