Kriebstein Castle from the 14th century is visible from afar on a mountain spur. It impresses not only with its battlements and towers up to 45 metres high. It also houses the precious Kriebstein Room with wall paintings in Gothic style. The castle chapel, with its completely painted interior, is truly unique in central Germany.
