Burg Stargard
The most outstanding building in Burg Stargard is a hilltop castle of the same name, which today towers romantically over the old town centre. The oldest secular building in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the northernmost hilltop castle in Germany houses a museum with historical artefacts. Guided tours are possible. In addition, medieval garments are tailored, medicinal herbs are grown and knights' games are organised at Stargard Castle.
