The daetz-centrum Lichtenstein was once all about wood as a natural material. The museum housed more than 550 artistic sculptures carved by artists from all over the world. A huge wooden portal was enthroned in the Oceania themed area, while the European area boasted figures of saints. The premises are currently being developed into a central municipal cultural centre under the name "Kultur.Palais.Lichtenstein".
