The small town of Garbsen is particularly known for its large and small lakes. One of these is the Black Lake in the city park, a popular destination for walkers. Greylag geese can be observed around Lake Berenbolstel, while the Blue Lake attracts visitors with its 600 metre long sandy beach and activities such as water skiing and the adventure minigolf course.
