The butterfly garden in the Friedrichsruh district is home to over 1,000 butterflies from all over the world. On the 450 square metres of the tropical house, guests can experience the metamorphosis from egg to butterfly up close. Not far from the garden is the Sachsenwald, once an imperial hunting ground and now the largest enclosed woodland area in Schleswig-Holstein.
