The two-storey Lion Guest House with its side-gabled roof and striking crow-stepped gables was built in 1608, as is shown on an inscription on the door lintel above the entrance door. The building is actually made up of two components: on the one hand the section in three axes, surrounded by crow-stepped gables, while the other consists of the narrow, North-facing low adjoining section. In addition to its striking crow-stepped gables, the guest house is also distinguished by its numerous windows with splined profiles which finish in spirals and projections. Worthy of special mention is the door, on the lintel on which the date of the house’s construction is shown.
The Gasthof Löwen (Lion Guest House), which was lovingly restored in 2009 - 10, is amongst the oldest buildings in Bad Krozingen.Auberge au Löwen
