Grabow Fachwerkstadt an der Elde
The title "half-timbered town on the Elde" goes back to the tragic town fire in Grabow, which destroyed large parts of the centre in 1725. Subsequently, the houses were built uniformly from bricks and wooden beams. Particular eye-catchers are the town hall with its two-storey Baroque-style façade and St George's Church with its carved pulpit from the 16th century.
