As a well-preserved testimony to medieval architecture, the Hanseatic city of Wismar was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. Magnificent gabled houses and three churches in the brick Gothic style dominate the city centre, while the harbour invites you to take a cruise.
