Excellently preserved town houses in the Baroque style can be discovered in the historic old town of Leer. The town's fortified stone houses or "Burgen" are even older. At the same time, Leer's town centre with its tea rooms and small family businesses is still extremely lively today. Another highlight is the museum harbour.
