Ilsetal Nationalparkort Ilsenburg

The Ilse Valley stretches from the national park town of Ilsenburg to the vicinity of the Brocken peak in the Harz National Park. The region is particularly popular with nature lovers for its amazing rock formations, the Ilsen waterfalls and the idyllic bridges over the river that gives it its name. The famous poet Heinrich Heine already mentioned the wildly romantic Ilsental valley in his "Harzreise".
