The roles are often played by prominent actors, including Ingrid van Bergen, Ralf Bauer, and Richy Müller. ##### BEST ENTERTAINMENT - the Karlsruhe Kammertheater
Boulevard theater, musicals, and modern comedies are offered at the Kammertheater's venues, where many stars from film and television, such as Ralf Bauer, Dieter Hallervorden, Jutta Speidel, Richy Müller, and Hugo Egon Balder, can be admired on stage. The Kammertheater Karlsruhe was founded in 1956 by Wolfgang Reinsch. The first venue was located in an old cinema on Waldstraße, and later on Rondellplatz. In order to accommodate the growing audience, the Kammertheater moved to Herrenstraße 30/32 as **K1** in 2004, in the heart of Karlsruhe's city center. There are 250 seats available there. Under the direction of Bernd Gnann and Ingmar Otto (from 2009), the Kammertheater's second venue was opened in 2013 as **K2**. Since September 2025, it has been shining in new splendor – as **ABBAHUS**. The venue is the stage for the popular IKEAtare Inka, Klaus, Erwin, and Anke – ABBA hits and endless fun! In addition to the two permanent venues, there are also guest performances on the stage of the restaurant "Im Schlachthof" (Durlacher Allee 64).
##### Former Reichsbank Reichsbank, later Landeszentralbank, today Kammertheater – the building with its stately sandstone façade in the style of Italian Renaissance city palaces was designed by Berlin architect Max Hasak (1856–1934).
