Klosterruine Hude

Von-Witzleben-Allee, 27798 Hude

Klosterruine Hude
Founded in the 13th century and after being run by Cistercian monks for 300 years, Hude Abbey was reduced to ruins following its destruction. Today, the walls and archways sit enthroned in the middle of a romantic, overgrown landscape that visitors can explore on their own. A historic watermill also adorns the grounds, while a museum reveals more about the history of the monastery.
