Lessingstadt Kamenz
As the birthplace of the famous poet, Kamenz proudly bears the title "Lessingstadt". His life and work are presented in the Lessing Museum, which houses a depot with around 5,000 books. Also worth seeing is the Lessing Tower, which is around 24 metres high and sits enthroned on the Hutberg. This offers sweeping views over the city and the idyllic natural surroundings.
