Gently rolling hills dominate the Lommatzscher Pflege, an area in the centre of Saxony. To this day, quaint villages and watermills bear witness to the fact that agriculture was practised here for centuries. The region has numerous sights to offer: These include a visitor mine, a nature experience centre and Schleinitz Castle. The latter now houses a museum for rural customs.
