Marine- und Hafenstadt Wilhelmshaven
Founded in the 19th century, Wilhelmshaven still lives up to its name as a naval and harbour town today. Historic ships and even a walk-in submarine await in the naval museum. Germany's only deep-water harbour can be admired on boat trips. The city's landmark is the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge, once the largest swing bridge in Europe, which is atmospherically illuminated in the evening. You can find out more about the biodiversity of the world's oceans at Aquarium Wilhelmshaven.
