Meeresmuseum Stralsund

Opened back in 1951 in St Catherine's Monastery in the old town, the German Oceanographic Museum in Stralsund mainly presented maritime and oceanographic exhibitions until the end of 2020. Like the Ozeaneum, the Nautineum and the Natureum, it is part of the German Oceanographic Museum Foundation. There were almost 50 aquariums with over 600 live marine animals, including sea turtles and South Sea fish.
