Naturpark Niederlausitzer Landrücken

The Niederlausitzer Landrücken Nature Park is extremely varied due to its differences in altitude: While the plains are dominated by farmland, windmills and estates, the ridge itself is densely forested. Open-cast mining has also left its mark here, for example in the Luckau basin. The former crater landscape there has been extensively renaturalised and now attracts water birds such as cranes and wild geese.
