An imposing rocket in front of the entrance already reveals what awaits visitors to the Peenemünde Historical and Technical Museum. From 1936 to 1945, Europe's largest military research centre was located here. Today, an exhibition tells the story of the weapons that were developed in Peenemünde and ultimately used as retaliatory weapons in the Second World War.
