Peenetal
One of the last unspoilt rivers in Germany gives the Peene Valley its name. Extensive fens stretch out here, offering refuge to rare amphibians as well as beavers and otters. White-tailed eagles can also be observed, especially in the bird sanctuaries of the Peene Valley. Thanks to its calm current, the "Amazon of the North" is also a popular place for kayaking tours.
