Petersberg
Around 250 metres high, the Petersberg rises out of the landscape of the Saale district, visible from afar. An animal park, forest adventure trail, high ropes course and a summer toboggan run make it a popular destination. The Petersberg Museum provides deeper insights into the region and its past. Another highlight is the three-aisled, cruciform basilica of St Peter, dating from the 12th century.
