Residenzstadt Greiz

Magnificent architecture still bears witness to Greiz's former role as a Thuringian royal seat. This can be seen in the Upper Castle: Where the Reuss princes stayed from the Middle Ages onwards, there is now a historical museum. Just as impressive architecturally and also a significant example of classicism is the 19th-century building of the "St. Peter's Church". Its opulent living quarters can be visited.
