Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the southwest, Rottweil is a historical and cultural centre and the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg with roots dating back to Roman times. Founded in 73 n. by Emperor Vespasian Rottweil offers a variety of sights, including a medieval old town. In spring, the traditional Rottweiler Fasnet attracts many carnival revellers and onlookers to the town.
