Stiftskirche „Sankt Cyriakus“ Gernrode
The collegiate church of St Cyriacus in Gernrode in the Harz district is part of the Romanesque Road. Margrave Gero had the church built over 1,050 years ago. For centuries it functioned as a women's convent. Particularly worth seeing are the tomb of Gero, a Romanesque baptismal font and the oldest surviving replica of Christ's tomb north of the Alps.
