Tierpark Gera
Gera Zoo, one of the largest zoos in the Free State of Thuringia, is home to over 600 animals in the middle of Gera's city forest. These include native species such as deer, wild cats and owls as well as exotic species such as Barbary apes, camels and kangaroos. Colourful budgerigars can be observed in the bird house. The park railway takes visitors from one place to another in a relaxed manner.
