UNESCO Welterbe Bauhaus Dessau
Since 1996, the Bauhaus in Dessau has been one of over 1,000 natural and cultural sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The entire ensemble, consisting of the Bauhaus building and other buildings, is an example of holistic modernism, taking into account social and societal aspects as well as those of living. Bauhaus Dessau is considered a milestone in modern architecture.
