Weimar has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998 - no wonder, as some of the country's most important poets lived and worked here. Among other things, you can visit the homes of Goethe and Schiller, which now house museums. The City Palace is a prime example of classicism, while the Belvedere Palace with its flower gardens and pavilions invites you to take a stroll.
