Weinstraße Saale-Unstrut
The northernmost wine route in Europe is the Saale-Unstrut wine route. For around 60 kilometres, the road passes places such as Nebra, Freyburg, Naumburg and Bad Sulza. Viticulture, which is traditionally practised on terraced slopes, can look back on around 1,000 years of history. Even the German emperors appreciated the wine from the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region.
