Welterberegion Wartburg Hainich

The Wartburg Hainich World Heritage region combines the unspoilt nature of the Hainich National Park with the culture of historically significant castles and fortresses. Wartburg Castle, for example, became famous as the home of Martin Luther. No less impressive is Gotha Castle, where visitors can see the oldest baroque theatre in the world. The Hainich National Park attracts visitors with its beech forests and treetop trail.
