Weltkulturerbe Völklinger Hütte
The Völklingen Ironworks is a former ironworks in Völklingen that was shut down in 1986. It is the first industrial monument of this era to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's only fully preserved ironworks from the industrialisation period. Today it is an ideal venue for international exhibitions, festivals and concerts.
