Wermsdorf Schloss Hubertusburg

One of the most important castle complexes in Saxony is Hubertusburg Castle in Wermsdorf. The building was used in the 18th centuryas a hunting residence for King August III. Although the interior was removed during the Seven Years' War, the castle still impresses today with its intricate Baroque façade and richly decorated chapel. The ornate ceiling painting is particularly worth seeing.
