Zähringer Town Neuenburg am Rhein
Founded in the 12th century by Duke Berthold IV of Zähringen, the town of Neuenburg am Rhein was later given the nickname Zähringerstadt. The former prosperity of the former free imperial city is probably due to its location on the Rhine, an important trade route. Traditional festivals such as the Alemannic carnival and the Nepomuk Festival are annual visitor magnets.
