The Museum in der Majolika , a branch museum of the Badisches Landesmuseum, provides an overview of the production of the Grand Ducal, later state-owned Majolika manufactory from its beginning to the present day . The Karlsruhe Majolika-Manufaktur is the only ceramic manufactory in Germany that has survived all the crises of the past century and is still producing. It was founded in 1901 at the instigation of the artists Hans Thoma and Wilhelm Süs . Visitors can trace the artistic transformation in the 19th and 20th centuries with numerous exhibits - from Art Nouveau to Expressionism, from the art of National Socialism to the trends of the 1950s and 1960s to contemporary art movements. In addition to ceramic objects, scenes , such as a room from the Berlin Admiral's Palace, illustrate the manufactory's range of products.
