The Homburg Roman Museum in the Edelhaus is located on the excavation site of a Roman trading town built around the birth of Christ. Around 2,000 inhabitants were spread over an area of 25-30 hectares. Around 275 n. In the year 13th century, the Alemanni completely burnt down the Roman quarter. The baroque noble house dates back to the early 18th century. Today it houses artefacts and excavations from the Roman period.
