Welcome to Stuttgart - Porsche Museum - Mercedes-Benz Museum
Since 2009, the Porsche Museum has been showcasing the history and fascination of Porsche in an unparalleled way. The impressive building is located at the heart of the company’s headquarters in Zuffenhausen and was designed by the Viennese architectural firm Delugan Meissl.
Spectacular on the outside and high-performance on the inside: the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. Since 1950, sports cars bearing the Stuttgart horse emblem on their hoods have been manufactured here at Porscheplatz. Since 2009, a spectacular automobile museum has stood directly next to the headquarters of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, chronicling the product and motorsport history of the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer.
Inside, more than 80 vehicles and 200 smaller exhibits are on display across 5,600 square meters of exhibition space: alongside world-famous automotive icons such as the 356, 911, and 917, technical masterpieces from the early 20th century by Professor Ferdinand Porsche are sure to set the heart of every car enthusiast racing. Incidentally, all of the vehicles still serve their purpose today: they run.
The Porsche Museum is also incomparable from the outside. The museum building is supported by three V-shaped columns, which contain approximately 6,000 tons of steel—more than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Also not to be missed is the sculpture next to the Porsche Museum, whose three stelae are each crowned by a Porsche 911.
The Porsche Museum is fully accessible and offers guided tours for people with visual and hearing impairments, as well as tours in simple language.
Parking is available in the underground garage. The underground garage opens at 8:45 a.m. and has a clearance height of 2.10 meters.
