Welcome to Animal enclosure Greiz

Idyllically located recreation area near Greiz and ideal destination for families. The animal enclosure of the city of Greiz is located within the Greiz-Werdauer Wald landscape conservation area. On an area of approx. 3 ha it accommodates different, mainly native animal species. Among them is the red deer, the dominant species in the surrounding forests. The creation of the animal enclosure dates back to 1969. One of its main tasks is to provide children and young people with knowledge about the natural habits of animals.
