Founded in 2016, the UNESCO Black Forest Biosphere Reserve is a unique nature reserve in the southern Black Forest. Covering around 63,000 hectares, it combines picturesque landscapes and diverse flora and fauna with sustainable development. Among other things, visitors can discover the Präg glacier basin, which was formed by the confluence of six glaciers. The reserve also offers a range of adventure and educational programmes such as ranger tours.
