The war cemetery at the Halbe forest cemetery commemorates one of the most devastating battles in the Berlin area. Around 28,000 victims who lost their lives in the last days of the war in 1945 rest here. Several monuments as well as a lounge and memorial room keep their memory alive. The Volksbund also offers audio-guided tours with information about the Battle of Halbe.
