A walk from the “Marktplatz” (market square) through the Marienau leads around and up to the Eckartsberg. The way through vineyards is lined by quotes and poems that are connected to Breisach.
At the highest point you will be rewarded with a panoramic view. There is a monument commemorating the accession of the city to the Margraviate of Baden. Besides you will find on the top the European light and the European flag, both symbols of the European town of Breisach.
