Rochus Chapel

This house of god was built in 1895 and was preceded by two others of its kind. The first chapel was built in 1667 after the pest saint Rochus received his solemn promise. Prince-bishop Damian Huge of Schönborn replaced this building with a bigger one. During the times of the cultural struggle and fight in Baden (1809) the Rochuschapel was demolished by the federal government of Baden.

Opening hours:

Between May and October the chapel is opened for visitors on Tuesdays before and after the holy mess. (7 p.m.)

Thermarium Wellness and Health Park

The Thermarium Wellness and Health Park is, with its 1400 square meters area of healing water, the biggest thermal spring in the south of Baden. The “Bad Schönborner Thermal and Brine springs” come from a depth of 630m and offer optimal healing effects for rheumatologic and orthopedic illnesses – at warming 43 degrees water temperature.

The wellness and health park provides a diverse section of offers like thermal bath, a Dead Sea salt grotto, a sauna area, a therapeutic training center and Spa-Vital - one of the most modern health centers in the Rhine-Neckar-area.
