General information

A striking work of art between Schulkamp and Mühlenteich is the "Memorial to those persecuted by the Nazi regime". It was created by the Rostock artist Wolfgang Eckardt (1919-1999) and inaugurated in Teterow in October 1969. During the Second World War Eckardt served as a sailor on a submarine. This experience made him a declared enemy of the war, which is also reflected in many of his works.
