Eisenbahnstraße 4, 77960 Seelbach
This square was named Zillebeker Platz on 22 August 1993 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the community partnership with the Belgium municipality of Zillebeke. Since 1983 a strong bond had developed between the citizens of Seelbach and Zillebeke in the Belgium province of West Flanders. The rural territory of Zillebeke with around 1700 inhabitants is a district of Ypern approximately 35 kilometres from the North Sea coast. It was the similarity in names that initially brought the two communities together. Zille means Seele (soul) in German and Beke means Bach (stream). Hence Zillebeke is the same as Seelbach!
